We got in first with the five questions we’re asking all sponsors and stand-holders. So at least we all know a little about who might be there.
Looking back over the 11 companies that have featured so far, we can already see how rich that mix will be. With businesses that range from the hobby expanded to part-time and the professional business, where someone took the challenges and rewards of working for themselves. With some people happy to answer written questions at length and others happier to do it face to face at the Fair.

Name of your business: Forest Physiotherapy

1. What did you do before your current business?
I have been a physiotherapist for 18 years; I spent 6 years in the NHS and then worked for the MOD for 10 years.
2. What made you start your current business?
I realised over time I wanted to be my own boss and fit my working hours around family life. The timing was suddenly right as we finally stopped moving and settled in one place.
3. What do you most enjoy about your business?
The challenges and the rewards; if it goes badly then it’s my fault, but if it goes well, then that’s my fault too! I also enjoy the freedom to work the hours I choose and the fact I am constantly learning new business skills and meeting new people.
4. If you had a magic wand what would you change about your business?
I would have a larger clinic with a 2nd treatment couch and a small gym area with mats and weights equipment for prehab, rehab and class work. Admin support would also be high on the list!
5. Do you have any useful tips or ideas that you could share?
Start small, break things in to manageable chunks, ask for help when needed.
A great tip from Forest Physiotherapy, which can be applied to the Fair itself to make your time there useful.
