The sun shone which brought out the crowds and a steady stream of visitors flowed past the stand all day.
Five project volunteers shared stints on the stand and all of them were kept busy throughout the event!
Steering group member Miranda Jenkins said
‘this was a first for the project and we are delighted that we took the decision to take part in the Forest Showcase event.
We knew that the majority of the visitors were attending to sample the food and drink delights on show, but we also suspected that a lot of the visitors and exhibitors would be interested in the business start-up and support services that we provide locally.
Having had so many conversations with people who were keen to learn more about our project and how it could help them, we know that we made the right decision in taking a stand at the event!’
People visited the stand to learn more about the programme of business start-up support, networking opportunities and business skills workshops scheduled for this autumn and many were interested to find out more about the free Enterprise Fair that is taking place on 19th November at Forest Hills Golf Club and to book a place.
